Construction Plant Insurance
Building sites run on high-value plant working at height and lifting over live, crowded areas, where a dropped load or a tipped lift is a serious claim. Machine Cover helps operators arrange cover for telehandlers, cranes, boom and scissor lifts, forklifts, excavators and concrete pumps. This is about the machines on the slab, not builder or trade liability, which our sibling brand handles.

What construction operators need covered
Accidental damage and theft
Telehandlers, lifts and forklifts take knocks on tight urban sites and are prime theft targets from part-built structures. Cover can respond to accidental damage and to theft of machines from active sites and overnight compounds.
Working at height and tip-overs
Boom and scissor lifts and telehandlers working at height carry a real tip-over and dropped-load risk. Cover can respond to damage to the machine, and liability cover can respond to third-party claims when something goes wrong up high.
Lifting over live areas
Cranes and pumps lifting loads and placing concrete over occupied or public areas raise the stakes on any failure. Public liability cover can respond to third-party injury and property damage arising from lifting and pumping operations.
Machinery breakdown
A telehandler or pump that fails mid-program can stall trades stacked behind it. Breakdown cover can help with sudden mechanical and electrical failure so one machine down does not hold up the whole floor.
Hire fleets and dry hire
Much of the plant on site is hired in or dry hired out. Cover can be arranged for hired-in machines and for owners who dry hire plant to others, including how responsibility sits while a machine is off with a hirer.
High-value plant and total loss
Cranes and large telehandlers are major assets, and a total loss hurts. Cover can be arranged on values that reflect the real replacement cost of high-value plant rather than leaving you short after a serious incident.
Cover, limits and examples shown are general in nature and subject to eligibility, underwriting and the terms of the issued policy.
